Robert LeeVern “Bob” Jackson, 75, Savannah, Missouri, formerly of Craig, Missouri passed from this life in his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. He was born May 8, 1933 in Phelps City, Missouri to the late Carl and Mamie (Rhoades) Jackson. Bob served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Bob married Sandra Sue Clark on June 20, 1958 in Rockport, Missouri. He worked in maintenance and was a street sweeper and mechanic for McDonald Douglas in California. Bob was a former member of the American Legion and VFW at Rockport, Missouri. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, bird watching and western movies. Bob was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Albert, Jim and Bill Jackson. Survivors: his wife of almost 51 years, Sandra Sue Jackson, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Bruce Ideker, Craig, Missouri; Barbara Jackson, Arizona; Janice and Dick Ebersole, Shenandoah, Iowa; son, Robert Dean Jackson; brother, Larry Jackson, Craig, Missouri; sisters, Pauline Watts, Kansas City, Missouri and Mildred Smith, Beldon, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: 11 AM Friday, May 15, 2009 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Memorial donations to American Cancer Society. Mr. Jackson has been cremated. There is no visitation scheduled.
