1919 – 2009 Leo H. Wright, 89, Savannah, Missouri passed peacefully from this life on Friday, July 24, 2009 a t home. Leo was born August 10, 1919 in Latham, Missouri to Earl And Virginia Lee (Hume) Wright. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Leo married Goldie Riley on December 18, 1969 in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2001. He worked as a boiler maker with Local #83. Leo enjoyed sales and service of cars and pick-ups. He was a member of American Legion Dick Munkres Post #287, Savannah, Missouri. His parents; brothers, Earl and Truman Wright; and sister, Madelyn Ferguson also preceded Leo in death. Survivors: sons, Steve Wright, Rushville, Missouri; and Mike Wright; daughter, Virginia Lee “Ginger” Wall; both of Savannah, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Celebration of Life: 2:30 PM Monday, July 27, 2009 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment at Savannah Cemetery. Public viewing and family receiving from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Monday. The family suggests memorials to a choice of the donor. | ||
