1944 – 2009 Charles F. “Charlie” Blizzard, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph. He was born November 11, 1944 in St. Joseph. Charlie was a union brick layer. Charlie married Sarah (Sutton) Banks on May 12, 2007 in St. Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Blizzard and Grace (Phillips) Blizzard Boy, and stepfather, Paul Boy; an infant son; brother, Gary Blizzard and a grandson, Keith Berry. Charlie attended St. Peter Lutheran Church. He enjoyed taking vacations and camping. Survivors: his wife, Sarah Blizzard, of the home; daughters, Tammy Berry and husband, Keith; Tracy Blizzard and Lyle Lindley; stepson, Bradley Banks; stepdaughters, Ashley Vickers and husband, Philip all of St. Joseph; Amber Banks and C.J. Nelson, Manson, IA; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Debra Harrison and Jim Vetack, Helendale, CA; Linda Turner and Clifford Stone; father-in-law, John Sutton; aunt, Dorothy Wright; nephew, Danny Wright; and a niece, Pam Blizzard, all of St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: 11:30 AM Saturday, August 8, at St. Peter Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends 10 to 11:30 AM Saturday at the church.
