1937 – 2009 Fannie Bernice (Bridgman) Hampton, 71, Helena, Missouri passed from this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in her home. Bernice was born October 22, 1937 in Daviess County, Missouri to Earl and Georgia (Bruner) Bridgman. She married Glen Hampton on January 22, 1955 in Miami, Oklahoma. Bernice retired as a bookkeeper at Marcum’s Oil Company after 20 years. She was a member of Helena Baptist Church and the Baptist Women’s Association. Her parents and a grandchild, Stephanie Hampton, preceded Bernice in death. Survivors: husband, Glen Hampton, of the home; son, Steve Hampton and wife, Betty, Helena, Missouri; daughters, Glennice Moore and husband, Keith, Grovespring, Missouri; Becky Hampton, St. Joseph, Missouri; brother, Gene Bridgman, Joplin, Missouri; a dear friend, Maree Daise; 6 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 4 step great grandchildren. Celebration of Life: 10 AM Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Helena Baptist Church, 3rd Street and Sycamore Street, Helena, Missouri. Interment at Helena, Missouri Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Helena Baptist Church. | ||
