1942 – 2009 Della M. Townsend , 67, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Friday, October 09, 2009 in her home. She was born July 8, 1942 in Faucett, Missouri. Della was a beautician in the St. Joseph area. Della had a great love for animals, enjoyed shopping, walking and eating tomatoes. She was preceded in death by her father, James Stafford and her mother, Cassie (Blankenship) Stafford Scott. Survivors: her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Kathy Townsend, St. Joseph; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Gail Stafford, Kansas City, MO, and Charles and Linda Stafford, Punta Gorda, Florida; six grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, and some nieces and nephews. Della has been cremated and there is no visitation or service scheduled. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph. | ||
