Bernice Eileen (Dell) Ringot, 95, Savannah, Missouri passed from this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Savannah, Missouri. Bernice was born May 8, 1914 in Andrew County, Missouri to John and Mary (Wandfluh) Dell. She became a member of the former St. John’s United Church of Christ on April 1, 1928. Bernice attended grade school in Amazonia, Missouri and graduated from Savannah High School in 1932. She married Louis Ringot on December 11, 1935 in St. Joseph, Missouri. They lived most of their married lives in Amazonia, Missouri. She and her husband both worked for the Savannah R-III School District. They both retired on May 27, 1982 from the school district. Bernice was active in church activities such as Bible school and was a Sunday school teacher and program coordinator at St. John’s Church. She was also a Girl Scout leader. Bernice moved to St. Joseph, Missouri and lived at Country Squire Retirement Home from 1992 until moving to Shady Lawn Nursing Home in January 2007. Her parents; brothers, Clifford and Bill Dell; sisters, Lucille Lisle; Marguerite Hollenbach; Lena Violett; Bessie Yenni and Effie Dell; husband, Louis; son, John Ringot; preceded Bernice in death. Survivors: sons, James Ringot and wife, Barbara; Terry Ringot and wife, Mary; daughter, Bernie Lou Thompson; grandchildren, Gina Kerr; Jennifer Wolfe; Sara Riley; Carrie Bartlow; Chris Ringot; great grandchildren, Kaitlin and Garrett Kerr; Morgan Carson; Cole and Conner Riley; Jacob and Dylan Wolfe. Celebration of Life: 2:30 PM Friday, October 30, 2009 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment at St. John’s Cemetery, Amazonia, Missouri. Public viewing and family receiving from 6 to 8 PM Thursday. The family suggests memorials to the Special Olympics, Missouri, Northwest Area.
