1915 – 2009 Kenneth Walter Nicholson, 94, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Savannah, Missouri. Kenneth was born August 9, 1915 in Salem, Indiana to Floyd and Lena (Davis) Nicholson. He married Pauline Ungles on September 18, 1937 at Oregon, Missouri. Kenneth was owner and operator of Nicholson Auto Parts & Hardware Store for 39 years. He also had a lawn mower repair service. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a race car enthusiast. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Floyd, Jr, Charles and Henry Nicholson; sisters, Margie Jane and Mary Ellen. Survivors: wife, Pauline Nicholson, of the home; son, Richard Nicholson and wife, Jeanne; daughter, Sheryl Stamp, all of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Brad Nicholson and Scott Stamp; and 1 great grandchild. Celebration of Life: 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Interment at Maitland, Missouri Cemetery. Public viewing and family receiving hours 9:30 to 10:30 AM Tuesday. | ||
