Appleton
Age 70, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. Delores was born December 23, 1938, in Appleton, to the late Harvey and Jesse (Herning) Behrent. On August 17, 1964, she was united in marriage to Phillip Rusch. The couple enjoyed 27 years together until his death in 1991. Delores and Phillip owned and operated Phil’s Petticoat Junction for many years. She also worked at the Golden Griddle and the Columbus Club for many years. She enjoyed building puzzles and line dancing. She is survived by her daughter Kim (Robert) Wunrow; 3 sons: Rich, Dave, and Robert (Michele) Rusch; 5 grandchildren: Brittny, Sierra, Skyler, Trebor, and Lexi; 5 sisters: Donna Juhnke, Joyce Voigt, Audrey Tessen, Jean Behrent, and Mary Thomas; her brother Ken (Bev) Behrent; she is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 brothers: Paul, Art, and Wayne Behrent; and 2 sisters: Joan Bruso and Shirley Howe. A Funeral Service will take place at 11 am Friday, July 24, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Thews officiating. Friends may visit directly at the funeral chapel Friday from 9 am until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Appleton Medical Center for the compassionate care given to Delores.
