Kloehn, Anita M.
Appleton
Age 89, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday October 4, 2009 at Appleton Health Care Center. Anita’s faith in her Savior sustained her in life and was evident in her passing. She was born in the Town of Caledonia on October 20, 1919 to the late Charles and Emilie (Braatz) Kanaman. When Anita was 14 months old, her mother passed away and she was then raised by her Aunt Marie and Uncle Fred Radloff. On June 8, 1941, she was united in marriage to Edwin E. Kloehn. Together, the couple owned and operated a dairy farm where Anita raised chickens and was in charge of the eggs – which people drove miles for. Anita and Edwin enjoyed 54 years together until his death in 1995. She loved to crochet, cook and bake – her specialty was her home baked bread. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Anita was a lifelong member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville.
She will be missed by her 2 sons: Carl (Jerelyn) Kloehn, Appleton, and Larry (Wendy) Kloehn, Greenville; 4 daughters: Judith (Steven) Cady-Weilky, Arbor Vitae, WI, Betty (Jeffrey) Pockat, Appleton, Sandra (Randall) Nelson, Appleton, and Janis (Levi “Bud”) Mews, Greenville. 17 grandchildren: Allan Kloehn, Amy (Jaques “Skip”) Eick, Greg Cady, Andrea (Andrew) Cady-Teece, Brian Wunderlich, Brenda (Dave) Stenz, Ian (special friend Nicole Meehl) Pockat, Adam (Jamie) Kloehn, Jason (Jessica) Kloehn, Luke Kloehn, Lana Ruwoldt, Jeremy (special friend Jordan Ely) Ruwoldt, Nina (Ethan) Daane, Katrina Nelson, Nick Nelson, Leslie (Nick) Lange, and Jennifer (Jeff) Gaal. 24 great grandchildren: Christopher Eick, Dayton Cady-Teece, Delaney Cady-Teece, Jesse Wunderlich, Jacob Wunderlich, Kaylee Wunderlich, Nicole Stenz, Brianna Stenz, Kobe Kloehn, Tyson Kloehn, Reggie Kloehn, Lily Kloehn, Kadyn Kloehn, Lila Kloehn, Leshia (Fiance Joshua Drewa) Neumann, Terrell Neumann, Latasha Neumann, Lexis Ehlke, Devon Smart, Jordan, Justin, Jena Gall, Patrick and Andrew Lange. 2 special nieces: Mary Kalbus and Marlene Tranbauer; brother in law Raymond (Grace) Kloehn, and 2 sisters in law: Natalie Kloehn and Blanche Kloehn.
