Paul Tiedt, age 73, of Manawa, passed away on October 16th. He was born on April 22, 1936, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Joanna and Frank Tiedt . Paul was united in marriage to Margaret (Peggy) Chambers on December 20, 1968, in Milwaukee, sharing 40 years together. He was a truckdriver for over 40 years.
Paul had a variety of interests including fishing, bowling with the gang, tending his yard, but treasured most the time spent with his family. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his light-hearted wit, his ability to live life to its fullest and share his gift of laughter with all he came in contact.
Paul is survived by his wife: Peggy; four sons: Rick Zur, Mike Zur, Dan Zur, and Bill Zur and two daughters: Teri Zur and Hope Karth; a brother, George Tiedt; and two sisters Lou Krebs and Joanne Fincel; and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 1:00 pm at First Congregational United Church of Christ at 724 E. South River, Appleton, with Rev. Steve Sevides officiating. Directions can be found on the church website www.firstcongoappleton.org. There will a time to visit with friends and family immediately following the service. The family requests no flowers be sent.
