Green Bay
Jeremy C. Moorehead, age 29, Green Bay, formerly of Appleton, was taken from his family and loved ones on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. Jeremy was born on February 24, 1980, in Appleton to Charles E. and Davina J. (Lemke) Moorehead Jr. He graduated from Appleton West High School in 1998. He was pursuing a degree in Business part time attending the University of Green Bay and Tallahassee Florida Community College, where he was president of the Honors Group. He then moved back to Green Bay and started CJ’s Landscaping Service. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, downhill skiing, bonfires, and animals – especially his dogs, Rhyme and Raven. He volunteered his time at animal shelters, helping the Boys and Girls Club, Christmas at the Moose Lodge, and coaching various sports teams.
He will be sadly missed by his parents, Charles and Davina Moorehead Jr., Appleton; his brother Eric Joseph Moorehead, Appleton; maternal grandparents Richard W. and Laverna Lemke, Appleton; his 6 aunts: Marlene (David) Radloff, Fort Collins, CO, Beverly (David) Stone, Salt Lake City, Pat (Bill) VanderWeyst, Kaukauna, Mary (John) Brose, Waupaca, Nancy (Ken) Stumpf, Kimberly, and Jackie (Dan) Birr, Appleton; 3 uncles: Richard (Barb) Lemke, Darboy, Scott (Jean) Lemke, Kaukauna, and Roger Luca, Tallahasse, FL. He is further survived by many cousins and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles E. and Gladys Moorehead Sr. and his aunt Brenda Luca (Lemke).
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 5 pm on Friday, November 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, with Father Robert Karuhn officiating. Friends may visit from 4-6 pm on Thursday at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel, and directly at the church on Friday in the Sacred Heart room from 3 pm until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Jeremy will be truly missed by family, friends, and relatives but his memory will live on in our hearts and minds until we meet again. We love you Jeremy!
