The same services that are available for a burial are also available for cremation. Cremation does not limit your choice but increases the options available to you. It is possible to still have a viewing, funeral ceremony, and/or memorial. It in no way eliminates a funeral. Prior to cremation there may be a visitation and/or a funeral ceremony with the casketed body present. If the family decides on cremation before the service, the receptacle/urn containing the cremated remains may take a place of prominence at the memorial service.
Funeral arrangements today are as individual as the persons for whom and by whom they are made. The funeral, not unlike other ceremonies, distinguishes our lives and is a celebration that a life has been lived. The funeral ceremony recognizes the final event in that person's life and offers loved ones a chance to say goodbye.
WHICH RELIGIONS APPROVE
Most religions approve of cremation as an acceptable final disposition. There are some religions such as the Orthodox Jewish faith, that do not approve.
