| | | Jerry Alan Rowe, age 46. formerly of Findlay, OH and more recently of Summerville, SC died on Mon. July 27, 2009 at 1:00 a.m.
He was born Nov. 8, 1962 in Upper Sandusky, OH to Gaylon T. Rowe & Janet (Riedlinger) Bright. His father preceded him in death, his mother resides in Blythewood, SC.
He married Karen Miller on June 19, 1982, they were divorced. He was engaged to be married to Lori Lanier, Marion, SC.
He is survived by a son Sgt. Joshua J. (Stacy) Rowe, USMC, Canton, OH, a daughter Holli S. Rowe, Avondale, AZ, a sister Julia L. Rowe, Lexington, SC and a half-brother Bruce J. Rowe, Upper Sandusky, OH.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He graduated from Hopewell Loudon High School, Bascom, OH in 1981.
Mr. Rowe served in the United States Marine Corp from 1981-1986, he received the Navy Achievement Medal & Good Conduct Medal.
He was employed by Owens Illinois, Findlay,OH from 1987-1999, then had worked for Mack Trucks, Winnsboro, SC from 1999-2002.
He was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing, Ohio State Football, reading his Bible and working on cars. He loved NASCAR and was a huge Jeff Gordon fan, in his earlier years he enjoyed attending harness racing events and collecting arrowheads with his father. He loved his family & friends dearly and was happiest when he was helping others. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Tues. Aug. 4, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. in the BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery with military graveside rites being conducted.
Visitation will be an hour before services from 10-11:00 a.m. at BRINGMAN CLARK Tues. Aug. 4, 2009.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Liver Foundation, American Heart Asso. or American Cancer Society in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
