Robert E. (Red) Donaugh, age 79, of S. Hazel St. Upper Sandusky, OH died at his residence at 12:15 p.m. Wed. Aug. 12, 2009. He was born June 5, 1930 in Marion County, OH to the late Wilson and Mildred (Park) Donaugh.

He married Margie E. Barth on Aug. 1, 1953 in Angola, IN and she survives. They recently celebrated there 56th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are two sons Steve (Laurie) Donaugh and Brian (Patty) Donaugh, both of Upper Sandusky, OH, 5 grandsons Nick, Travis, Dustin, Spencer, Skyler Donaugh, 5 great grandchildren Rylan, Alison, Megan, Anderson Donaugh & Audrey Swavel. Robert had two special aunts, Margaret Hotelling, Upper Sandusky, OH & Alice Cottrell, Harpster, OH. He is preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Simpkins & a brother Bill Donaugh.

He is a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Donaugh retired from Worthington Custom Plastics after 27 years.

He was a member of VFW Post #2842, American Legion Post #225, AmVets Post #777 and former member of Eagles #2184. Robert collected clocks & knives. His hobbies included playing cards, bowling, going to garage sales. He was a Cleveland Indians & Cleveland Browns fan. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.


A funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sat. Aug. 15, 2009 in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Julianne Smith officiating. Visitation will be held Fri. Aug. 14, 2009 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery with full military honors.
