Doris J. Frantz, age 82 of River's Edge Ln Upper Sandusky, OH died at her residence at 10:30 a.m. Mon. Aug. 24, 2009. She was born Aug. 24, 1927 in Buffalo, NY to the late Arthur & Coral (Brummel) Berlinghoff. She married George E. Frantz and he preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1987 in Cedar Rapids, IA.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Sue (John) Walton, Grand Rapids, MI, Jan (Lee) Thiel, Upper Sandusky, OH, Lisa (Bob) Myers, Carey, OH, a son, Ed (Mary Ann) Frantz , Dublin, OH, 6 grandchildren, Katie Walton, Krista Ambrose, Aaron & Adam Myers, John & Mark Frantz, 2 great grandchildren, Hannah & Troy Myers, a sister, Nancy (Don) McKay, Zephyrhills, FL, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Ferranti.
She graduated from Fostoria High School in 1944. Mrs. Frantz was a member of John Stewart United Methodist Church. She was past president of Upper Sandusky Emblem Club #536, past state officer of Ohio State Asso. of Emblem Clubs & W VA, member of Tri Sigma Sorority, Alpha Chapter USANDO & Literary Club, Crimson Chappeau's Red Hat Club.
A funeral service will be held Fri. Aug. 28, 2009 at 10:00am in the BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home with Rev. John Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at BRINGMAN CLARK Funeral Home Thurs. Aug. 27, 2009 from 4-7:00pm with an Emblem Club memorial service to be held at 7:00pm.
