| | | Clifford C. Swartz, age 77 of Upper Sandusky died at his residence on Mon. Oct. 19, 2009 at 3:34 p.m. He was born on July 29, 1932 in Upper Sandusky to the late Vaughn and Bernadine (Johns) Swartz.
Mr. Swartz married Helen L. Click on June 30, 1951 in the Harpster United Methodist Church and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
Also surviving are 2 brothers Kenneth (Fran) Swartz, Upper Sandusky, Robert (Debra) Swartz, Valrico, FL, 4 sisters Florence Owens, Rutledge, AL, Marilyn Harris, Mabel Grimes both of Marion, and Patsy Smith, Forest. He is preceded in death by 5 brothers Harrison, Harold, James, Cloyd, Boyd, 2 sisters Clara Tharp & Wilda Grimes.
Clifford retired from the former Lite Star Oil Co. as a service station attendant. Mr. Swartz was a member of the AmVets Post #777 and the Wyandot County Coon hunters Association. He enjoyed farming and hunting especially coon hunting. He will always be remembered for wearing his cap with the bill turned up.
A funeral service will be held Thursday Oct. 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Angel officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clifford C. Swartz Memorial Fund, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
