Marlin Gene Stutzman, age 82, of 200 Fountain Road, Hegins, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Waterbridge at Pine Grove Personal Care Home, Pine Grove.

He was born on Tuesday, August 17, 1926 in Hegins Twp, a son of the late Orville E Stutzman and the late Estella M (Kroh) Stutzman.

He was a 1944 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

He was a self employed farmer.

He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

He was also a member of member of F&AM Valley Lodge 797, Valley View and the Harrisburg Consistory..

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean M Stutzman in 1997, by a son Glenn M Stutzman in 2002, and by a sister Iva Ebert.

He is survived by a daughter, Molly J Otto and her husband, Clint of Hegins; two granddaughters, Kristi K Clark and her husband, Steve of Camp Hill and Marsha J Begis and her husband, Mike of Mt Carmel; a grandson, Ian G Stutzman of Hegins; a great granddaughter, Hailey N Clark of Camp Hill; two great grandsons, Mason R Begis and Mitchell J Begis both of Mt. Carmel; a daughter in law, Colleen B Stutzman of Hegins; and a companion, Orpah Umholtz of Valley View.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
