| | | Peggy Kay Smith, age 66, of Seymour, passed away at Hospice of South Central IN, in Columbus, IN, on Sunday, November 18, 2007, at 2:12 P.M. She was born on March 23, 1941, in Bedford, IN and was the daughter of Alva and Edna Grider Reynolds. Peggy married Billy Ray Smith at Nashville, TN on August 5, 1978 and he survives.
Peggy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Aid #3. She was employed as an Executive Assistant at Cummins Engine Company and also was a past member of the Business and Professional Womens Group. Peggy enjoyed traveling, cooking and being with her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, and daughter; Carla Scott (Greg) Lumbra, of Astoria, OR.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Billy Mills, one Step-Brother; David Reynolds and four Step-sisters; Lucille Steward, Mildred Schmidt, Pansy Reynolds and Nellena Allman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with Revs. Ralph Blomenberg, Philip Bloch, and Jimmy Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Burkholder Funeral Chapel and on Wednesday, at the church from 10:00 A.M until time of the service. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, IN following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran High School, Camp Lakeview or to the donors choice.
