Owner/Funeral Director
Rick has been a licensed funeral director/ embalmer since 1986, beginning with family owned funeral businesses in Illinois. He has also been employed in the corporate funeral industry for many years,as an area Vice President, bringing both a personal and professional background to Seymour.
He served as manager of Burkholder's from 2002 until the purchase in 2004,
He and Linda have been married since 1970.Their family includes two sons:Jayson,married to Ellen, and Benjamin, married to Kimberly. They have 5 grandchildren: Brooklyn, Alex and Jaycob who live in Illinois ; Matthew and Emma who live in Georgia.
Rick is an active member of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association, serving as District Director of Region #8. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Seymour,and the Seymour Chamber of Commerce where he chairs the Community Resource Committee.Rick is also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and sings with the Lutheran Men's Chorus. |  | Linda Ferguson
Owner/Preneed Specialist
Linda is a retired registered nurse, and has worked with Rick in the funeral business for 20 years. Besides assisting with families, Linda is our licensed preplanning counselor. A recent graduate of the Hixson School of Professional Floral design, Linda runs the day to day operations of Coach Door Designs, a floral design center located within the facility and specializes in lasting silk floral tributes.She and Rick are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church and she is active in the Kiwanis Club of Seymour, where she served as President for 2005-2006.Linda is also serves on the Seymour Main Street Association Board and the Advisory Board of Covered Bridge Health Campus. Linda is "Grammy" to their five grandchildren, too. |  | Rhonda Robinson
Office Manager
Rhonda is office manager/receptionist, and has been with Burkholder Funeral Chapel since June of 1999. She and her husband Les A. Robinson will celebrate their 30 Years of marriage on July 8, 2008 and are the parents of two children Kara Raylene (Daniel) Shuler, who is a graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in Elementary Education and who is currently a student at IVY Tec in Columbus, IN studying nursing. Jared Adam Robinson, who is deceased was the oldest of their children. They are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, IN where both Rhonda and Les served on the youth board and counsel for over 10 years and happily donate their time each year at the church food stand at the Jackson Co. Fair. Rhonda is a member of the Beta Mu Chapter of Psi Iota Psi, Brownstown, IN and the Southeran Indian Chapter of the Compassionate Friends, a support group for parents whose children have passed away. They are very involved in the support of the J.A.R. Fund for the Immanuel Youth and the Jared Adam Robinson annual golf outing, both in memory of their son Jared. Rhonda is the daughter of Victor W. and Kathleen (Rucker) Terkhon and grew up in the Sauers Community. They love spending time with family and friends, including cook-outs, watching great nieces and nephews in activities, and scenic drives thru Jackson Co. and surrounding counties. |  | Jonathan Pace
Embalmer/Funeral Director
Jon was the manager of this firm for several years until he started his own prep service in 2002. He takes pride in his skills as an embalmer and is very talented. Jon and his wife, Erin, are active in their church, Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle, where he has attended for seven years.Both Jon and Erin are youth leaders and keep busy with Home Friendship Groups and Bible Studies.Jon loves to coach basketball and teach Bible Class for Seymour Christian Academy. In his leisure time, he loves to play golf and basketball.Jon is the father of three daughters, Josie, Jonelle and Jenna, who keep him very busy. | | | PT Names
