| | | George E. Ihrig III, 62, of Warren passed away on August 25, 2009 in Youngstown, OH. He was born April 20, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to George and Betty ( nee Dalton ) Ihrig. George worked at T.R.W. where he was an Inspector and he also served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was an avid sports fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Chicago White Sox, and the Indianapolis Colts. Music was a big part of George’s life and he was a lifelong Rolling Stones fan and avid collector of records and albums. George especially liked spending time with beloved family and friends.
George is survived by his wife Sheryl ( nee King ) who he married on August 3, 1995; sons George and Mark Ihrig of Ravenna, and David Chute of KY.; daughter Michelle ( Eric ) Gibson of TX.; brothers David ( Linda ) Ihrig of Southington, Todd Ihrig of Warren; sister Susan ( Dave ) Carroll of Windham; granddaughter Jordan Paige Ihrig of Florida; and grandsons Nathan and Greyson Chute of KY.
Memorial mass will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 9736 East Center Street, Windham, OH. with Fr. Lang officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mallory-Dehaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center Street Garrettsville, OH 44231.
