| | | | Carmella " Millie" Verrilli Benedetto, age 92, of Stratford, passed away October 31, 2008 to be with her husband Bernie of 67 years. . Born in Bridgeport in 1916 to the late John and Carmella Verrilli she loved her family most of all. She was co-proprietor with her late husband, Bernard C. Benedetto of Bernie's Package Store. Survivors include her son Bernard J. (Carol) Benedetto of Oxford; her daughter Carmen (George) Ahearn of Stratford; her brother Louis (Ida) Verrilli of Bpt.; her sister Rose Angilillo of FL; brother-in-law Ralph (Ann) Benedetto of Bridgeport ; four loving grandchildren; Pamela Ahearn of Seymour, Dr. Bernard (wife, Dr. Jessica) Benedetto of MA, Kelly( Eric) Scheurich of Oxford and Rachel Benedetto of ME; precious great-grandchildren, Abby, Camron, Cody, Ella and Gabrielle, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her grandson Michael Ahearn, her brothers Joe, Molly, Tony and Danny Morgan and loving sister, Theresa Tartaglio. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd and at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church 2070 Main Street Stratford. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice at Home 84 Oxford Rd. Oxford, CT 06478 or to the charity of one's choice.
