Melia Bogdanowicz | | | | | Melia K. Bogdanowicz, age 88 of Trumbull, passed away on February 16, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was born in Carnegie, PA and was a Trumbull resident most of her life. She retired from Sikorsky Aircraft. She was an active member of the Trumbull Church of Christ, and an active supporter of Native American Christian Schools for many years in North and South Dakota, and Arizona. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Bogdanowicz; two sisters Althea Wurster and Irene Ingalls; and two brothers Joseph and Steven Denhup. Survivors include her loving children Stanley Bogdanowicz of Trumbull, and Paula and her husband Mark Slauson of Trumbull; a sister Nancy Kohn of CA; and three brothers Nicolas Kowalczyk of PA, William Kowalczyk of AK, and Pat Denhup of Stratford. Funeral services will be private. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trumbull EMT 250 Middlebrooks Avenue Trumbull, CT 06611.
