| | | | Connie R. Benson, age 77, of Trumbull, passed away on October 16, 2006. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, of 43 years, Loren A. Benson, her parents, Mary and Melchiore Ripellino, and her sister, Frances Rose Ripellino.. She is survived by her loving children, Leonard Benson and his wife, Samara of Bridgeport, and Lynn Benson Springer and her husband, Mark of Trumbull, thee cherished grandchildren, Kevin Fernandez, Matthew Loren Benson and Clinton Springer, a sister, Phyllis Borzilleri and her husband, Russell of Port Richey, FL, a brother, Thomas Ripellino and his wife, Carol of Buffalo , N.Y. her brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Merle Benson of Forest Hills, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y. graduated from the University of Buffalo with an A.A.S. degree. She moved to Trumbull in 1972. She retired in 1996 as a supervisor of patient accounts for Eye Surgery Associates in Bridgeport. She was a Trumbull Welcome Wagon Hostess from 1973-1980 and a member of the Bridgeport Symphony Guild and the Bridgeport Art League for many years. An avid tennis player, she also enjoyed painting and playing pinochle. Friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday at 11:00a.m. in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 28 at 11:00a.m. in Villenova Cemetery, Villenova, New York.
