| | | | Paul H. Blandford, age 87, of Trumbull, died February 13, in St. Vincent's Hospital. Mr. Blandford was born in Springfield, KY, and settled in Trumbull, after W.W. II. He was a soft-spoken southern gentleman, devoted to his wife, Frances, of 63 years, his children, grandchildren and great-grandson. He was in the Army Air Corp during W.W.II. He worked and traveled the world for Sikorsky Aircraft, until his retirement in 1982. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Goldemen; brothers, Joseph and John; sisters, Mary, Katherine, Elizabeth, Theresa and Julia. Survivors include two daughters, Mary and her husband, Robert Miller of Ridgefield and Julie and her husband, Dr. Joseph Chusid, of Brookfield, WI; grandchildren, Kate and Jack Miller of Ridgefield, Karen Waple of Brookfield, WI, and Paul Chusid of New Berlin, WI, and great-grandson Miles Waple of Brookfield, WI. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday, March 3, at 9:00 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Vincent's Medical Center Cardiac Unit, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606. The Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road is in charge of arrangements.
