| | | | Edward Babey , age 81, of Milford, passed away in St. Vincent's Medical Center on March 2, 2007. He was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident. He was an avid bowler, golfer and played in a fast pitch softball league. He was an oil burner technician for Hoffman Fuel for over thirty seven years. Mr Babey was a WWII Navy veteran. He was the devoted husband of the late Lillian Lucas Babey. Survivors include three daughters, Gale and her husband, Robert Kruger of Milford, Sandra and her husband, Richard Saunders of West Haven and Nancy and her husband, Ray Doran, of Milford; a brother, Joseph Babey of Milford; a sister, Ann Conroy of Stratford, five grandchildren, Amy and Sarah Saunders and Ashley, Bryan and Taylor Doran and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday morning at 9:15am from the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 1640 Boston Ave (parking lot entrance on Ridgefield Ave.) and at 10:00 a.m. from Christ the Redeemer Church in Milford. Interment will be in Kings Highway Cemetery in Milford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8p.m.
