| | | | Marian E. (Stjern) Hahn, age 80, formerly of Trumbull, passed away October 3, 2009 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Marian was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and was a Trumbull resident since 1971. She was a retired school teacher from Daniels Farm School in Trumbull, where she taught music for over 17 years. She was an active choir member of the Long Hill United Methodist Church. Marian graduated from the University of North Dakota where she was active member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She received her master’s degree in education at the University of Bridgeport. Marian was a long time member of the CT Chamber Choir. She was also active in the Trumbull Garden Club, participated in the 9-Holer’s at Tashua Knolls Golf Course and enjoyed being a member of the Trumbull Welcome Wagon. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and made many trips to Norway to visit her beloved cousins. Most importantly she was a dear friend to many and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, John Robert Hahn. Survivors include her five children: David Hahn and his wife Amy of Parker, CO, Kathy Metelski and her husband Peter of Fairfield, Julie Stamos and her husband Stephen of Trumbull, Jim Hahn and his wife Christine of Arlington, VA, and Eric Hahn and his wife Audi of Fairfield; fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Long Hill United Methodist Church 6358 Main Street Trumbull with the Reverend Elizabeth Schrader officiating. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements by the Cyril F Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. At the family’s request, calling hours have been omitted.
