| | | | Edward S. Guzek. Age 80, of Huntington, passed away October 17, 2009 at the West Haven Veteran Hospital. Mr. Guzek was born in Bridgeport and was a longtime Huntington resident. He was a retired sign painter for Murphy Inc. A Navy Veteran, he was also a past member of the Shelton Exchange. Mr. Guzek painted and donated numerous Disney Figures to sick and terminally ill children throughout the area. Survivors include his beloved wife, Kay Martnick Guzek of Huntington; four children Karen Iwaniec and John of Shelton, Mary Ann Guzek and Chuck O'Donnell of Huntington ,Edwina Bondaruk and Mark of Shelton and Stanley Guzek and Jackie of Huntington; one sister Joan Guzek ; one brother Joseph Guzek both of Bridgeport; six grandchildren, Edward, Nicholas, Colin, John, Ami and Jeffrey; one great-grandson, Jaiden and several niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Karpus. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at St Lawrence Church 505 Shelton Ave. Huntington. Interment in Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd.
