| | | Ruth Elizabeth Wright, 81, of Huntington, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 25, 2008, at her residence after a long battle with diabetes, kidney and heart disease. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Gordon T. Humphreys officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Ruth was born June 21, 1927 in Cameron, WV a daughter of the late Edwin P. and Thelma C. King Haught. Also preceding her in death were her brother, Richard Haught and a grandson, Zachary Preston Bonner. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was a member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed baking, golfing, and attending sporting events. She was a former Girl Scout Leader, seamstress, bridge player, and organist. Survivors include: her husband of 59 years, Donald Albert "Abe" Wright; two daughters and a son-in-law, Vicki Wright Bonner and Dr. Daniel P. Bonner of Inwood, WV and Kathryn Wright Smith of Washington, WV; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald M. "Mike" Wright and Dora Lou Chapman Wright of Huntington and James E. Wright and Aimee Saito of Matthews, NC; six grandchildren, C. Nicole Bonner, Wesley M. Wright, Candice R. Wright, Samuel J. Smith, Cameron Glen Wright and Alex J. Wright; one great granddaughter, Alexus Nicole Bonner; a brother-in-law, Clarence W. "Bones" Wright of Shepherdstown, WV; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends including a lifelong friend, Helen Hupp of Morgantown, WV. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2008, and after 1:00 PM Sunday at Chapman's Mortuary.
