| | | Larry Howard Perdue, 69, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 PM Friday, May 25, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Timothy S. Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV. American Legion Post 93, Kenova, will conduct military graveside rites. He was born October 2, 1942 in Huntington, Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Frank Perdue and Nora Louise Gilmore Harris. A brother, Gary Perdue, also preceded him in death. He was a retired custodian for the State of West Virginia and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ of Huntington. Survivors include: his loving caregiver, Melissa Brown and his close friend, Melissa Daniels. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
