| | | Betty Marie Porter, 77, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Entombment will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, where there will be a private graveside service for family. Betty was born January 27, 1935, in Crum, WV, a daughter of the late Charlie McCoy and Florence Copley Moore. Her husband, James Edgar Porter, and all of her siblings preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Vinson High School. Betty dedicated her entire life to her family and she loved her flower garden, her dogs, and bowling. Survivors include: two daughters, Pattie Blankenship and Sandra McCabe, both of Huntington; a son, Jim Eddie Porter of Huntington; three grandchildren, Stormy (Jeff) Cheek of Chesapeake, OH, Elizabeth Porter of Charlotte, NC and Chelsea McCabe of Huntington; a great grandchild, Nevaeh Tench; her longtime friends, Betty Weaver and Alice McGlone, both of Huntington; and her dogs and grand dogs, Riley, Pitty Pat, Zorro Snoopy, and Barkley. Visitation will be from 6: 00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O.
