| | | Janet Gay Ballinger, 63, of Lexington, NC, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, in Wake Forest Baptist Health, Winston Salem, NC. She was born February 4, 1949 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Willard Mason and Blanche Edna Feury LaFon. She was a respiratory therapist in Lexington, NC. Survivors include: two sons, Eddie Ballinger and fiancee. Samantha of Madison, NC and Jeff Batten; daughter, Renee Batten Burcham and husband, Mike of Barboursville, WV; four sisters, Gloria Banton of Thomasville, NC and Brenda Willey, Linda Eplion, and Carolyn Thompson, all of Huntington; two brothers, Charles "Bill" LaFon and wife, Charlotte of South Point, OH and Robert Mason LaFon of Huntington; and four grandchildren, Nathan Edward Ballinger, Jacob Burcham, Jessica Burcham and Justin Batten. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday at Chapman's Mortuary.
