| | | James Ross Cate, age 83, passed away October 2, 2009. Born May 5, 1926 at Winfield, Kansas to Samuel Ross Cate & Flossie Wright. James was raised in Winfield where he graduated from Winfield High School in 1944. He received a Bachelor's degree in Business from Southwestern College. James served in WWII just out of High School & re-enlisted during Korean Conflict. He was a Tulsa resident over 40 years. James worked for GMAC as a supervisor in the Purchasing Dept. retiring in 1982. He loved to play golf through his retirement and was a member of Meadow Brook Golf Club. He also volunteered for 10 years at Tulsa Airport. Those left to honor his memory are his sister, Doris Helen Cate of Houston, Texas; & friends, David & Carol Mays of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family has entrusted all arrangement to Christian~Gavlik Funeral Home, Broken Arrow (918) 251-6464
