| | | Glenn Allen Barber, age 72, passed away October 24, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born September 4, 1937 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Claude Barber & Zona (McNabb) Barber. Glenn was a 1956 graduate of Webster High School. He married Elizabeth "Liz" Oakley on February 22, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Glenn served in the U.S. Army in 1962-1963. He moved to Bixby in the early 1970's where he raised his family. Glenn worked as a sheet metal worker and was a member of Sheet Metal Local #270. He was also a member of Bible Baptist Church in Bixby. Glenn loved fishing and car racing of all kinds but most of all he loved his kids and grandkids. Those left to honor his memory are, his wife, Elizabeth of the home; 3-sons, Kenneth Barber & his wife Carla, & Keith Barber & his wife Candice all of Bixby, Oklahoma, & Glenn Barber, Jr. & his wife Kim of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 7-grandchildren; his mother, Zona Barber of Mesa, Arizona; 2-sisters, Jody McDaniel of Mesa, Arizona, & Jeannie Barber of Apache Junction, Arizona. Preceding him in death were his father, Claude Barber, & 1-brother, Norman Barber. The family has entrusted all arrangements to Christian~Gavlik Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. 918-251-6464
