| | | CUYAHOGA FALLS –Carmen Bell, 94, died unexpectedly October 7, 2007. Mr. Bell was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls his entire life. He retired from B. F. Goodrich in 1975 as a tire builder with 36 years service, was a member of the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281, had played minor league baseball and was an avid golfer. He was a Veteran of WW2 having served with the U. S. Army 101st Airborne Division and was recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the Presidential Citation for the Bastone Campaign. He had been active in the 101st Airborne Division Assoc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annabelle D; parents, Fred and Lucille Bell; sister Theresa Fabrizio and brother Vincent Bell and is survived by his sons, Fred Bell, George (Barbara) Ortopan, Terry Smith, David Smith and Robert (Barbara) Bell; many grandchildren and great- and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Ed) Reder and Helen Plues and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, Deacon David Seal officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
