CUYAHOGA FALLS –Carolee D. Ahrens, 48, died unexpectedly October 7, 2008. Born in Moorestown, NJ, she had earned a BA in English with an Art Minor from Houghton College in New York. She was a longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, a member of Bethany United Church of Christ and was a self-employed artist.

Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Faith Ahrens, Carolee is survived by her daughters, Ahren Myers and Ariel Myers, both of Akron; sister, Marilyn (Paul) Cripe of Modesto, CA; nieces, Stephanie (Eddie) Vergara of CA and Jenna Cripe of IN and the father of her daughters, Scott Myers of Akron.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd, Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Service, Rev. Stephen Gehlert and Pastor Duane Crabbs officiating. A Private Committal Service will take place in Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Greater Akron, 4904 Quick Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264.
