| CUYAHOGA FALLS –Wilfred Arthur, 86, died at his residence July 1, 2009. Mr. Arthur was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 60 years, moving there from Akron. He had worked as an instrument maker for Firestone Tire and Rubber for 42 years, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls for over 50 years and was a Veteran of WWII having served with the 8th Air Force in England.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Meredythe; sister, Mary Foster of Warren and many nieces and nephews including, Miriam (Eddy) Schadle and John (Alice) Walker, both of Cuyahoga Falls, Jane (Robert) Hiner of Ravenna Twp., Mary Ann (Leroy) Truby of Louisville, Donna Walker and Judith (Marc) Ullom, both of PA, David Goldie of Stow and Patricia Hively of Cuyahoga Falls. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted in Northlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 10:00 am Friday. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, July 6 in First United Methodist Church Chapel of Good Shepherd 245 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Rev. Marvin Brown officiating.
