| Samuel L. Base, 82, died February 27, 2005. Mr. Base was born in Akron where he had resided his entire life. He retired in 1982 from B. F. Goodrich as a Chemical Engineer, was a member of First Church of the Brethren and was a Veteran of WW2 having served with the U. S. Navy. He was a member of Portage Lakes Lodge F&AM and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alene D. and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Ann of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ken Stephen of Massillon and grandchildren, Jason (Dawn) Stephen and Amanda and Andrew Base. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, Pastor Jim Abe officiating.
