| Joseph Raymond Frederick, age 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday July 25, 2008 after a long illness.
He was born to Raymond and Edna Cole Frederick, June 23, 1920. Joe was a lifelong resident of Perth, a member of the Perth Bible church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. A carpenter by trade and a devoted gardener by choice, he was well known for the work of his hands, his remarkable strawberries, and the best sweet corn grown on God’s green earth. He is loved and missed by his wife of nearly 62 years, Marion Aldrich Frederick, their children; Doug (Barbara) Frederick, Judy (Gary) Roseboom, Diane (Steve) Landsman, Linden (Heather) Frederick, Amy (Dean) Roos, and Dean (Darlene) Frederick; thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren; survivors also include his dear sisters Elizabeth (Bettie), Lillian and Gladys (Jeanne) Frederick of Perth; his brother and friend Richard (Judy) Frederick of Broadalbin. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles, Robert and Lewis Frederick. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Friends and family may call on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Perth Cemetery. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to Perth Bible Church 1863 County Highway 107, Amsterdam, NY 12010-6214 or to RHMA Box 300 Morton, Il 61550.
