| William F. Morse Sr., age 80, of Gloversville, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, after being stricken.
He was born August 12, 1928 in Danbury, Connecticut, a son of the late Alfred Morse and Louise Cady Morse. William served his Country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Royal Mountain V.F. W. Post 7097. Mr. Morse had retired due to a disability. Survivors include his wife Lucille Ann Christiano Morse whom he married March 7, 1957. One daughter Lucy (Bill) Blanchard of Johnstown; four sons William James Morse of Gloversville, William Frank Morse Jr. of Ft. Johnson, Fred Donald Morse of Johnstown, and Pete William (Fawn) Morse of Gloversville; three brothers Robert (Judy) Morse of Tennessee, Kenneth Morse of Gloversville, and Alfred (Phyllis) Morse of Johnstown; one sister Claudette Morse of Florida; six grandchildren Billy, Bobby, Suzie, Melissa, Debbie, Caitlyn; two great grandchildren Savanna Marie, and Colin Michael; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers Ernest Morse and James Morse, and a sister Betty Morse. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Friends and family may call on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.
