| Florence A. Warner, age 74, a resident of Johnstown, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2008. She was born April 22, 1934 in Johnstown to Earl Van Aernam Sr. and Gladys Getman Van Aernam Smith.
Mrs. Warner was a 48 year member of the Mohawk Council #338, and Improved Order of Red Men degree of Pocahontas. Florence was employed at the former Scotsmoor Glove Co., Leon Swears, Rubin Gloves, and retired from Samco Glove Co. She was also employed for 17 years for Diana Knit. On April 28, 1951 she was united in marriage to Donald L. Warner Sr. and he passed away on November 20, 2000. Survivors include her children Shirley Lang of Johnstown, Roy Warner of Johnstown, Donald L. Warner Jr. of Gloversville, Ronald Warner Sr. of Johnstown, Sharon Carpenter of Ft. Hunter, Richard Warner of Johnstown, Roger Warner of Caroga Lake, Robert Warner of Johnstown, and Russell Warner of Johnstown; one brother Earl Van Aernam of Randall; two others. She was predeceased by her brothers Harry, Edward, Robert, Clarence and Frank Van Aernam. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to William H. Barkley Educational Fund c/o James I Putman 174 2nd Ave., Gloversville, New York 12078.
