| Jane Coppernoll, age 88, a resident of Johnstown, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, after a long illness.
She was born November 22, 1919 in Palatine Bridge to Edward Ambridge and Pearl Peeler Ambridge. Mrs. Coppernoll worked for Beach Nut Corp., in Canajoharie and the former Johnstown knit until her retirement. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Johnstown and was also a member of the Fellowship Guild at the church. Jane was united in marriage to Jason B. Coppernoll on February 4, 1939 and he passed away on November 23, 2004. Survivors include her children; Jason B. Coppernoll III and his wife Donna of Mayfield, Nancy C. Blanchard and her husband Louis of Johnstown, Rose Marie Snow and her husband Ronald of Little Falls, Sandra L. Warner and her husband Frank of Georgia, Esther Weaver and her husband Rick of Gloversville; one brother Howard Garry Ambridge of Palatine; one sister Frances Shults of Canajoharie; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Edward Ambridge, and her sisters Bessie Dillenbeck, Harriet Mallett, Mildred Schreppel, Eva Bolland, Gloria Barnes and Claudia Cross. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Christ Lutheran Church 1 West Montgomery Street, Johnstown. The Rev David Almleaf will preside. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
