| Linda L. Dence, age 64, of Johnstown, passed away on Friday October 24, 2008, at Albany Medical Center, after a long illness.
Linda was born November 11, 1943, in Broadalbin to the late Ralph Jeans and Cora Mead Jeans. She was employed at local glove companies the former Johnstown Knitting Mill, and she was last employed as a Home Health Aide until she retired due to illness. Mrs. Dence was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Assembly, Johnstown and was also a member of the Improved Order of Red Men degree of Pocahontas. On July 8, 1963 she was united in marriage to Harold A. Dence Jr. and he passed away on January 26, 2002. Survivors include three sons John (Denise) Dence of Gloversville, Roger Dence of Johnstown, and Robert (Patty) Dence of Johnstown; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Harold A Dence, a granddaughter Natashia Chaimouratov, and a great granddaughter Kaycee Anderson Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 11 until 1 prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
