James G. Cool, age 67, of Johnstown, passed away on Thursday December 4, 2008 at Home, after an extended illness. He was born July 2, 1941 in Gloversville, to the late Frank and Beatrice Cool. Mr. Cool was employed as a drywall installer until the onset of illness in 1985. His hobby was woodcrafts. Survivors include his wife Arlene Sponable Cool: one daughter Elizabeth Stanton of Johnstown : a brother William B. Cool of Nelliston; three sisters Jane Angus of Johnstown, Edna Gray of Gloversville, and Betty Harlow of Oppenheim; three grandchildren Tim Stanton, Joe Stanton, and Jamie Stanton; nine great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brother’s Eugene Cool, and Wilfred Cool; two sisters Dorothy Warren and Caroline Gray. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 4:00 p.m. from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Friends and family may call on Monday prior to the service from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring at the Ephratah Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Community Health Center, Johnstown.
