Linda J. Gunneson, age 61, of Gloversville, passed away on Friday December 5, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam, after an extended illness. She was born May 11, 1947 in Fonda, to the late Walter and Charity Gunneson. Mrs. Gunneson was employed at Jones & Naudin Leather Corp. in Gloversville until she retired due to the onset of illness. Survivors include two daughters Melissa Jacobson of Gloversville, and Renee MacDonald of Fonda; two brothers Carl Gunneson of Fonda and John Bates of Johnstown; eight sisters Sharon Paul of Gloversville, Janice Winney of Broadalbin, JoAnne and Lisa Gunneson of Johnstown, Barbara Bates of Gloversville, Debbie Bates of Idaho, Mary Bates and Anna Becker of Gloversville; three grandchildren Cody Jacobson, Mark and Edward MacDonald; nieces, nephews and cousins. Private funeral services and calling hours will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
