Helen M. Brower, age 73, of Gloversville, passed away on Wednesday December 31, 2008 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, after long illness.
She was born December 5, 1935, a daughter of the late Emery Brockhum and Eva Schyler.
Helen received her G.E.D. and also an Associate Degree in graphic arts from F.M.C.C.
Mrs. Brower was employed as a leather worker for several local tanneries throughout her employment until she retired.
She was a member of the Trinity Anglican Episcopal Church, Gloversville.
On June 18, 1957 she was united in marriage to William A. Brower and he passed away in 1999.
Survivors include one son Rev. Father William A. Brower Jr. Deacon of Gloversville; one brother George Brockhum of Gloversville; one sister Lillian Shirley Doak of Johnstown; one grandson Joshuah A. Brower of Johnstown; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two brothers Adelbert Brockhum, and Stanley Brockhum; five sisters Mildred Weiderman, Louise Palmateer, Isabell Lobdell, Martha Hart, Iris Poyfair.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
There will be no calling hours.
Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady, final interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
