Loretta R. Brown, age 90, formerly of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday January 20, 2009 at the Wesley Health Care Center, Saratoga Springs, after a long illness. She was born October 1, 1919 in New London, Ct., and a 1938 graduate of Groton High School. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Johnstown, and the Johnstown 50+ Senior Center. On June 25, 1942 she was united in marriage to John L. Brown and he passed away on November 12, 1992. Survivors include a daughter Sandra France of East Greenbush; a son John J. Brown of Florida; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Kevin R. Brown in 1993. Graveside services will be conducted at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Johnstown in the spring. There will be no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff of five springs for the great care given to their mother during her stay at Wesley Health Care Center.
