Kathleen A. (Bassler) Bump, age 57, of Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday February 23, 2009 after a long illness.
She was born July 1, 1951 in Gloversville, and a 1969 Graduate of Broadalbin High School.
Kathy was a member of the Gloversville Wesleyan Church.
She was employed at the Price Chopper in Johnstown until her retirement after 25 years of service.
Kathy loved the lord, and dedicated her life to serving him. She loved her family and friends, and was loved by those whose lives she touched.
Kathy was the area representative and speaker for Stonecroft Ministries, and also served as the Chairman of the Adirondack Foothills after 5 Christian Women’s Club.
Survivors include her husband William Bump whom she married on January 18, 1974; two sons Jason Bump and his wife Jessica of Johnstown, James Bump of Baltimore; one daughter Stephanie Catucci and her husband Carl of Gloversville; one sister Susan Peck of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren Colin Bump, Zachary Catucci, Tyler Bump, Caitlyn Catucci, and Aidan Bump; her mother Ann Bassler of Vero Beach, Fl; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father Roy Bassler Jr.
Memorial services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. from the Gloversville Wesleyan Church 68 Grand Street, Gloversville. Rev Larry D. Johnson and Rev. Peter Ellis will preside.
Friends and family may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Cremation will be at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Kathy’s memory to Gloversville Wesleyan Church, 68 Grand Street, Gloversville, New York 12078 or to Hope Lodge Wooster, 7 Oak Street, MA 01609.
