| Janet L.B. Duesler, age 56, a resident of Ephratah, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at home, after a long illness. She was born on October 10, 1952. Janet was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a 4-H leader and Sunday School Teacher in Gloversville and Ephratah where she served as superintendant of the Sunday School Class. Mrs. Duesler was employed at the former Johnstown Hospital, Beech Nut Corp. of Canajoharie, and Beeskep in Johnstown. She was last employed as the manager at Fit Happens of Gloversville.
Survivors include husband E. Simmeon Duesler whom she married March 5, 1971; one son Jacob E. Duesler of Ephratah; two daughters Jessica Duesler Walker of Johnstown, and Jocelyn Duesler Rebisz of Rochester; five brothers Joe Barker of Ephratah, Harry Barker of Ephratah, John Barker of Amsterdam, Mike Barker of Johnstown and Steve Barker of Gloversville; two sisters Lois Bradt of Ephratah, and Judy Hale of Johnstown; her mother Lucille Hayes Barker of Gloversville; three grandchildren Kaleb Walker, Brilyn Rebisz, and Cade Rebisz,; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Dewayne Barker and her brother Gary Barker. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. from the Ephratah Reformed Church. Friends and family may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Ephratah Rural Cemetery.
