| Edward K. Johnson, age 64, of Amsterdam, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam, after being stricken. He was born on September 28, 1945 in Gloversville to the late Edward S. Johnson and Johanna Kiskis Johnson.
Edward graduated from Johnstown High School in 1963 and then attended Albany College of Pharmacy and graduated in 1968. Mr. Johnson worked as a Pharmacist in New York and Florida until he retired in 2007. He loved the Adirondacks, hunting and fishing he was a friend to all that knew him. He was a member of the Johnstown Loyal Order of Moose, and the Masons Welcome lodge #829 of Amsterdam, he attended St. Patrick’s Church, Johnstown. Survivors include his daughter Heather Johnson of Saratoga Springs; one brother Ken Johnson of Johnstown; three sisters Fran (Willie) Mosconi of Gloversville, Laura Huptich (Rick) of Northport, Florida, and Elizabeth Johnson of Gloversville; one niece Lisa (Joe) O’Donnell of Gloversville; one nephew Michael Huptich of Albany, and several cousins. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (noon) from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 215 East main Street, Johnstown. There will be no calling hours. Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
