Ford W. Wolfe Sr., age 68, of Fonda. Passed away on Sunday October 18, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital Amsterdam, following a brief illness. He was born on April 4, 1941 in Connecticut, a son of the late William Wolfe and Jean Hay Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe was a self employed Logger and saw mill operator until the time of his passing.
Survivors include his wife Edna Klein Wolfe; two sons Ford W. Wolfe Jr. of Mayfield, and Thomas R. Wolfe of Johnstown; two daughters Sherry L. Wolfe of Fonda, and Karen J. Wolfe of South Carolina; two brothers Philip F. Wolfe of Connecticut, and John S. Wolfe of Massachusetts; three sisters Donna Burr of Sharon Springs, Alison L. Brunson of Springfield, MA, and Laurel A. Provost of Massachusetts; four grandchildren Robert E. Wilmot, Michael D. Horton Jr., Daniel R. Wolfe, and Ford W. Wolfe III; and a grand daughter soon to arrive Caydence J. Wolfe; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held in Connecticut at a later date.
