| Ford W. Wolfe Sr., age 68, of Fonda. Passed away on Sunday October 18, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital Amsterdam, following a brief illness. He was born on April 4, 1941 in Connecticut, a son of the late William Wolfe and Jean Hay Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe was a self employed Logger and saw mill operator until the time of his passing.
Survivors include his wife Edna Klein Wolfe; two sons Ford W. Wolfe Jr. of Mayfield, and Thomas R. Wolfe of Johnstown; two daughters Sherry L. Wolfe of Fonda, and Karen J. Wolfe of South Carolina; two brothers Philip F. Wolfe of Connecticut, and John S. Wolfe of Massachusetts; three sisters Donna Burr of Sharon Springs, Alison L. Brunson of Springfield, MA, and Laurel A. Provost of Massachusetts; four grandchildren Robert E. Wilmot, Michael D. Horton Jr., Daniel R. Wolfe, and Ford W. Wolfe III; and a grand daughter soon to arrive Caydence J. Wolfe; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held in Connecticut at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady. Arrangements have been entrusted to the A. G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
